Philosophy of Education
I believe that every child is capable of learning and has a burning desire to learn; some children just need a little more encouragement and guidance to light the fire inside of them. Reaching every student has never been more critical than it is now. Students have dealt with tremendous amounts of stress from the past couple of years and my goal is to not only teach them, but also give them the tools that they need to overcome their internal struggles and continue to grow.
I once heard a quote that said, “If you can’t learn the way I teach, then I’ll teach the way you learn” and that really resonated with me. Everyone learns in different ways and at different paces. To be a successful educator, you must know your students and support them at their individual level. When you are able to reach students, encourage them, assist them as they grow then they will be capable of achieving things they never dreamt for themselves.
Philosophy of Coaching
In order for coaching to be effective, you must meet your colleague at their level. Just as students learn at their own pace, so do teachers. A coach's goal is to elevate their colleagues and support them in reaching their goals. Coaching cycles should consist of four major components: Inquire, Plan, Act, Reflect.
I believe that technology is powerful and when implemented effectively, it transforms a lesson and inspires creativity, enhances learning, and promotes critical thinking skills. Technology can be customized to enhance student learning. With personalizing my approach, I’ll help teachers see how technology is a tool that should be utilized rather than afraid of, and I will provide resources and support to grow educators to help them become highly-skilled innovators.

Philosophy of Leadership
Effective leaders are transparent, collaborate often, and act in a fair and just manner to all individuals. True leadership occurs when the leader leads with vision and purpose and holds themselves to a higher standard; when that happens, it trickles down and ultimately creates a positive environment for everyone. Leaders have an important role in the school and its crucial that relationships are formed. Good rapport is needed with the families, the community, as well as, the community partners and stakeholders. Everything that the school does affects the community, so it is imperative that leaders work hard to ensure that the school is successful.
Leaders trust others and provide them with leadership opportunities to foster growth and reach their career goals. They must be committed to continously growing professionally.
